Our 3 kids have always liked the cute little cards, stickers and tattoos they come home with, and of course the candy. Just like Halloween, I would always have safe options for Ryan at home. The boys are now teens so I am not expecting candy to be given out by classmates (although, I will check in to make sure his 504 plan is being carefully followed, just in case.) but that doesn’t keep me from thinking of those little ones that will feel left out as their friends give out Valentine’s treats. You know the treats I am talking about, the ones all over Facebook and Pinterest?
So, I have scoured the World Wide Web to find some safe for all options that, get this, don’t include any food! Yes, PTO parents, it is possible to celebrate without food! (Most of the suggested items require printing cards and a trip to your local $1 store or an order from an online party supply company)
eighteen25.com has directions for a fun printable that says, "You Light Up My Life!" which is meant to accompany a glow stick. Adorable, right?!? http://eighteen25.com/2013/02/valentines-using-double-sided-adhesive/
A favorite of mine is the Super Hero Mask with a printable attached that says, “Have a SUPER Valentine’s Day!" Here is the link to see this adorable idea: http://eastcoastmommyblog.blogspot.com/2015/02/super-hero-valentine-with-free.html
sweetcsdesigns.com posted adorable printable Tiny Animal Valentine's that ALL kids will love! https://sweetcsdesigns.com/tiny-animal-valentines-perfect-boys/
Another favorite is a fun do it yourself idea from thirtyhandmadedays.com http://www.thirtyhandmadedays.com/loom-valentines-idea-printable-card/
This idea requires your child to make a loom bracelet for each classmate! What’s better than a hand made gift?
Also from thirtyhandmadedays.com is these printable pencil toppers with animals on them that say cute things like, "You're Tweet" and "You're Toadally Cool" ! What kid doesn’t love a brand new pencil?
